Stovetop Popcorn – my kids favorite because they can watch
it!
1/3 c. GMO-free popcorn (Richardson Farms)
1 T. coconut oil
2 T. pastured butter, melted
Sea salt
Use a large stockpot and set stove to medium-high. Add coconut oil and popcorn kernels; cover
with a flat mesh lid (or another lid that will allow some venting but keep the
popcorn in!). Shake pan occasionally to
move kernels around. Continue shaking occasionally
through the popping process – kind of like the microwave, when it slows down
considerably, that is usually a good time to stop cooking! Remove from heat, add salt and butter and
toss to coat.
Will stay good for about 2 days if you let it cool
completely and put in an airtight container.
(Good for school snacks/lunches)
Microwave Popcorn – for when you are REALLY in a hurry!
1/3 c. GMO-free popcorn
2 T. butter, melted
Sea salt
Place popcorn inside a medium-sized brown paper sack. Fold top half of the bag down and place in
microwave for approximately 3 minutes.
Once popping slows down considerably, stop cooking! Pour melted butter and salt on top; toss to
coat.
